It’s beauty in the struggle. The ugliness in the success.

As catchy as the above line is, I find it more than just that. I do see truth in it.

Being as away as possible from any authoritative voice on any kind of success, I still see lot of truth in it. The struggle is a beautiful journey when the intentions are pure and the efforts are single-minded towards the goal. Obviously those are not the only things on the highway named — struggle.

There’s also grief, negativity, frustration, and mother of them all — doubt. Doubt kills lot of time, efforts, and when the will is not strong enough, even some dreams altogether. But doubt, as they say, provides room for faith and faith that has it genesis in doubt is stronger than ever. And oh boy, that little ray of faith found in the dark night of doubt, does it make you feel good!!

Also, the passion, the exuberance, and the fucking drive is stronger when you are climbing the hill rather than when you are camping on the top of the hill. Anyone who has run a marathon (that’s me) will be able to tell what a high it is when you are giving it all you got, when every moment is a struggle to keep the legs moving, but yet finish line is not in sight. That requires some level of blind faith. Then comes a point, when you cross the threshold for pain, and you don’t feel a thing in legs, and you don’t want the running to end. But then, you reach the finish line, and the high is over.

All you have is the feeling of nostalgic high which has just ended. And even though you have finished what you started, there is already a longing for that high.

Besides when heart is poured in any kind of struggle, it brings out a positive obsession. And that obsession is not there anymore when the struggle is over.

Is it even fun if there’s no obsession to it?
